Application Instructions

Follow these steps for perfect DTF transfer application every time

Equipment Needed
Heat Press Machine (300°F capability)
DTF Transfer from The Transfer Shop
Clean garment (cotton, polyester, or blends)
Parchment paper or Teflon sheet
Silicone upper platen cover (recommended)
Heat-resistant tape (optional for positioning)

Step-by-Step Process

1
Preheat Your Heat Press

Set your heat press to 300°F (150°C) and allow it to reach temperature.

Ensure the heat press is fully preheated for consistent results. This typically takes 10-15 minutes.

2
Pre-Press Your Garment

Press the garment for 5-10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.

This step ensures a smooth, dry surface for optimal transfer adhesion.

3
Position the Transfer

Place the DTF transfer face-down on the garment in your desired location.

Make sure the design is centered and straight. You can use heat-resistant tape to secure it if needed.

4
Apply Heat and Pressure

Press at 300°F for 12-15 seconds with medium to firm pressure.

Apply consistent, even pressure across the entire design. Do not move or shift the press during application.

5
Hot Peel the Film

Immediately peel off the transfer film while still hot in one smooth motion.

Peel slowly and steadily from one corner. The design should transfer completely to the fabric.

6
Final Press (Optional)

Cover with parchment paper and press for 5-10 seconds for extra durability.

This final press helps set the transfer and ensures maximum wash durability.
